25 years of Medical Experience
I am originally from a small town in Central Wisconsin. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 1997 from Viterbo University in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. In my 25 years as a Registered Nurse, I worked in variety of areas including Orthopedics, Emergency Department, Operating Room, and Management. I graduated with my Masters of Science in Nursing with an emphasis as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018. I am Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
My professional focus is in general orthopedics. I have a passion for helping people and taking care of children. As an orthopedic NP at Tennessee Valley Bone and Joint my role is to obtain a medical history, perform orthopedic examinations, order and interpret tests, diagnose and treat non-surgical orthopedic injuries, prescribe medication, monitor your response to treatment, and perform various in-office procedures such as joint and trigger point steroid injections and cast application.
I will collaborate with your orthopedic surgeon, as well as other health care providers involved in your care. With this collaboration, we will ensure that we provide you with the highest quality care.
I am married with one son and we enjoy spending time as a family on our seven acre property in the country. I also enjoy hiking, reading, crafting, and cooking. We are avid NFL football fans and cheer for my husband’s home team, the Minnesota Vikings!
